TUCSON, Ariz. — Federal and local authorities have found more than $500,000
worth of abandoned marijuana near Interstate 8.
The U.S. Border Patrol said Tuesday that agents seized the more than half-a-ton
of abandoned marijuana found inside a Chevy Tahoe. The drugs and vehicle were
discovered in the Vekol Valley area along the Arizona-Mexico border.
The vehicle, reported stolen out of Phoenix, was released to the Department of
Agents and officers on the ground searched the area for suspects but no arrests
