Prayers for the election will go out on Saturday from a Phoenix church.
Cathi Herrod with the Center for Arizona Policy said the event is both non-denominational and non-partisan.
“We still were founded by people who believed that religious liberty and prayer meant something,” she said. “Certainly, I think most of us can agree that our nation faces many troubled times and it’s always good to gather together in prayer.”
The gathering will be held at the City of Grace church in downtown Phoenix, located at Fourth Ave. and Monroe.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and will be led by local religious leaders.
