The Arizona Red Cross has sent nine volunteers to the East Coastato join over 3,800 other volunteers aiding superstorm Sandy victims.
In addition to the volunteers, the Red Cross has also sent two emergency supply trucks that will help get materials to where they are needed.
“The first responders need water,” said Brian Gomez with the Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross. “They need supplies. The people who are getting back in their homes need clean-up kits. These emergency response vehicles will get there and they will go street-to-street and hand this stuff out of the back of these trucks.”
