PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns open their 2012-13 regular season Wednesday night when they host the Golden State Warriors.

Fans will see some new things when they head into U.S. Airways Center. Along with a handful of new players, the team will open its indoor-outdoor Coors Light Cold Zone.

“At 5:30 p.m. tonight, we’re going to have a ribbon cutting and tailgate where legal-aged fans can come out and enjoy bratwursts and 22-ounce Coors Lights at a discount, and we’ll have the Suns entertainers out there,” Suns President Jason Rowley said.

Rowley said this is part of a multi-year marketing partnership that makes Coors Light the official beer partner of the Suns. Miller-Coors also has the naming rights to the Blue Moon Club, a hospitality area on the arena’s lower level.

And to make sure people get home safe, people can sign up to be a designated driver at a kiosk near the team shop.

“They take a pledge to be a responsible designated driver, and they’ll get some free Coke products, non-alcoholic products and also coupons for some other great items,” said Rowley.

Another feature will put some lucky fans in “unique” court side seats. Rowley said that during each home game, two fans will be selected to sit in two recliners right on the side of the court.

We want to hear from you.
