Seven teenage boys from Mesa High School were complaining of rapid heartbeats and high blood pressure after reportedly smoking an unknown substance on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
“As we were checking their vitals, we had found that their blood pressures were a little bit elevated and their heart rates were up,” said Mesa Fire’s Forrest Smith.
Smith said that one of the seven boys admitted to Mesa Police Department that they were smoking spice.
Four of the boys were transported to nearby hospitals. They were in stable condition.
