PHOENIX — The Maricopa County Home and Landscape Show begins Friday and will run through Sunday at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix.
About 25,000 people are expected for the show over the next three days. Katie Jones with the show said hundreds of vendors will be on hand to teach attendees about everything from planting a garden and lawn to remodeling kitchens and bathrooms.
“We have home improvement and gardening seminars, so if you’re interested in a particular topic we have how-to-do demonstrations,” she said.
Bob Henige at Cascade Arizona will be showing off his landscaping skills this weekend.
“We like to do the whole package,” he said. “We come out and design it. We’ll put in a BBQ, patio and fish ponds and waterfalls. We really specialize in fish ponds.”
The show runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Entry is $5.
The Senior Morning will take place on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. Visitors 60 and over will receive free admission. There will also be a customer appreciation time slot 4-7 p.m., when all guests will receive free admission.
On-site parking is available for a fee. Guests can enter at 17th Avenue and McDowell Road or 19th Avenue and Monte Vista Road.
