PHOENIX — A Tucson man faces over a dozen charges after a crime spree that started on Monday and included use of a pitchfork.
Derrick Nelson, 27, began by carjacking a Parks and Recreation employee in a city truck, threatening the man with a pitchfork taken from the truck’s trailer.
Soon after Nelson collided with a vehicle at a Chevron station. He robbed the driver.
From there, Nelson stole a construction vehicle and tried to rob a home before finally crashing into the back of a Pima County Sheriff’s patrol car.
Nelson faces charges from both city and county jurisdictions, and was being held on $100,000 bond Wednesday night.
