Space shuttle Endeavour to fly over Tucson

The last American shuttle to leave Earth will fly over Tucson on Thursday.
The shuttle is currently making its way strapped to the top of a specialized airliner from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to its final home at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
Endeavour, currently in Houston, is scheduled to land in California on Thursday, but it will fly over Tucson at the request of former astronaut Mark Kelly, the last man to fly the shuttle, who wants his wife, former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, to see it.
“It would be great if they could fly over Tucson so Gabby and I can see Endeavour,” he said.
NASA decided to honor the request, adding that the detour would not add any time or cost to the original plan.
