Main Street Minute: AJ’s Fine Foods and Goodwill hosting hiring events

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• AJ’s Fine Foods is holding a hiring fair Wednesday for 100 positions at its 11 Valley and Tucson stores. The fair runs from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Courtyard Scottsdale Salt River near Chaparral and Pima roads. Openings include bistro and bakery clerk, cashier, wine steward and floral designer.
• Goodwill of Central Arizona is holding a fall job fest Wednesday. It runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 10 local career centers. More than 30 companies will be hiring, including State Farm, Banner Health, Goodwill and U-Haul.
• Tortilla Fish is hosting an on-site job fair Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. near Priest Drive and Elliot Road in Tempe. The restaurant is hiring for 10 to 15 new positions. Tortilla Fish is getting close to opening another location, this one in Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood.
