PHOENIX — The list of the best colleges in the country is out. No Arizona school made the top 100.
U.S. News and World Report ranked schools based on a number of factors, including graduation rates and strength of faculty.
University of Arizona was the top school in the state, coming in at No. 120. Arizona State was No. 139, but that number should jump in a few years.
ASU came in fourth on the list of up-and-coming schools.
College presidents, provosts, and admissions deans came up with the rankings, which are based on schools making the most promising and innovative changes in academics, faculty and student life.
