Couple’s fight leads to school lockdown

PHOENIX — A domestic argument between a woman and her husband Thursday morning led to a lockdown at a south Phoenix school.
The woman, 40-year-old Christie Stampley, who made threats against her husband and his son, is in police custody.
The school, Southwest Elementary at 1111 Dobbins Road, where the stepson and three other siblings attend, was briefly locked down.
According to Sgt. David Rath, the couple had been arguing earlier off site. The woman has been charged with aggravated assault and threatening his son.
The suspect and victim’s names have not yet been released. All four children were in class during the incident.
The woman was arrested near 19th Avenue and Broadway Road.
