Suspect arrested in Arizona manhunt

A man who led authorities on a manhunt over the weekend has been arrested, the Gila County Sheriff’s Office said.
Gabriel Jaramillo, wanted for a homicide in Eager, Ariz., was arrested on Wednesday.
Police said Jaramillo approached a boater on the north side of Roosevelt Lake, where he was believed to be hiding, and asked the boater for water.
The boater left the area and notified police, who then located Jaramillo in the area near Salome Cove, where he was arrested.
Jaramillo’s was complaining about back pain from a fall down a cliff, but otherwise seemed uninjured.
Jaramillo evaded Gila County sheriff’s deputies Sunday.
By mid-morning Monday, federal marshals, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Eager police, Arizona Department of Public Safety, national Forest Service, a Department of Corrections team of dogs, among others, had joined the search in the area around Roosevelt Lake.
Pinal County sheriff’s spokesman Elias Johnson said his agency sent a helicopter to help search at dawn Sunday. Mesa Police also sent a helicopter.
