It doesn’t feel like it, but things are beginning to look like Christmas in Glendale.
It’s still for months until Christmas, but work got underway Wednesday morning to string more than one million lights on hundreds of trees by the mid-November opening of Glendale Glitters.
“November 23 is the ceremony where we flip the switch,” said Ben Bennett with Christmas Light Decorators.
Bennett said the process of setting up the lights takes about 5,000 man hours to complete because there are so many strands to put up.
“If you were to stretch them out, it would go from here to Flagstaff and then some, so it’s a lot of lights,” he said.
Glendale Glitters attract tens of thousands of people each Holiday season.
