A large crash involving six vehicles closed Interstate 10 at Interstate 17 in Phoenix on Friday.
“It’s one of those chain reaction crashes that we’re far too familiar with here in the Valley,” said Carrick Cook with Arizona DPS. “It appears there were some injuries, nothing serious.”
The freeway was shut down about 2:20 p.m. Traffic cameras showed the delay stretching past 51st Ave.
The freeway was reopened about 3:05 p.m.
There is no anticipated delay for Arizona Cardinals fans who will be heading to Glendale to watch a preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.
