Four Phoenix officer have filed a claim, stating that they intend to sue the city for damages and for the return of their jobs.
The officers, named as Courtney Mayo, Howard Pacifico, Brandy Villareal and Jeff Johnon were accused by the city of showing crime photos at a holiday party.
The claim states that the city’s allegations caused massive amounts of emotional damage, stress and loss of earning potential to the four officers.
Mayo also added in the claim that stress from the allegations caused her second-term miscarriage.
Mayo is seeking $2 million in damages and to return to the force as a night detective. Pacifico, Villareal and Johnson are all seeking $300,000 in damages and reinstatement.
The claim said the images were shown as part of a personal slideshow on Dec. 17, 2011 during a holiday party at Villareal’s residence.
The Phoenix Police Department policy demands all photos, notes and interviews conducted at a crime scene be handed over as evidence.
