A self-driving car designed by Google has surpassed 300,000 miles on the road without an accident.
According to Yahoo! Tech, the car uses cameras, radar and range finders to detect and avoid other vehicles.
While the cars are computer-driven, two drivers are also in the vehicle at all times as a precaution. The irony: the only Google cars that have gotten in a collision were being driven by humans.
While the Internet giant could take the cars public one day, they currently are untested in wintery terrain and with unexpected construction zones.
However, some employees still take the self-driving cars on their daily commute.
