Border Patrol seizure nets $1.3 million of marijuana

A Sunday contact by Border Patrol agents from the Tucson Sector’s Sonoita Border Patrol Station ended up in the seizure of 2,773 pounds of marijuana.
According to a press release, a suspicious pickup truck was spotted on Forest Service Road 49 by agents, who attempted to stop the vehicle. As the agents were making contact, two suspects fled the vehicle.
The pickup truck contained 483 bundles of marijuana under a false bed and in the cab. The seized drugs have an estimated street value of $1.3 million.
The suspects have not been located.
