Construction to delay I-17 traffic early this week

Motorists heading north from the Phoenix area are advised to plan for extra time this week, as a construction project will cause delays on Interstate 17.
A pavement improvement project about 30 miles south of Flagstaff will cause moving lane restrictions from 6 a.m. to 6:40 p.m. from Monday to Thursday between the Stoneman Lake traffic interchange and the Coconino County line.
Crews will be installing reflective pavement markers along the affected six-mile stretch of road.
The work was originally scheduled for this week, was deferred to next week.
