Main Street Minute: California company hiring 600 for Phoenix site

• Stitch Fix of San Francisco will open a large distribution center in west Phoenix. According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the online subscription service company will hire around 600 employees to staff the facility near Seventh Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road over the next 12 to 18 months.
• CVS Health finishes a three-day hiring event Thursday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Hilton Phoenix Chandler Hotel near Frye and Dobson roads. CVS is hiring for pharmacy technicians, customer care representatives and pharmacist supervisors and managers.
• CalPortland is hiring cement truck drivers. Recruiters are meeting applicants on Thursday near 91st Avenue and McDowell Road. Pay ranges from $19 to more than $21 per hour.
