Bus bullies suspended for one year, given community service

The children who were caught bullying a 68-year-old bus monitor in a viral video have been suspended for one year and assigned 50 hours of community service.
According to WSYR-TV, four students from Greece, NY will also not be permitted on regular bus service for the duration of their suspension.
The mandated community service hours will be spent with the elderly. The students will also have to complete a bullying prevention course.
The district is still obligated to educate the students, so they will be send to a special center in the district designed to keep students on a good academic track.
