Rep. Grijalva to hold immigration forums

PHOENIX — U.S. Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., will hold forums to discuss immigration
policy changes made by President Barack Obama that would offer a chance for
hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants to stay in the country and work.

The forums will be held Saturday afternoon at Arizona State University’s
downtown Phoenix campus, Monday afternoon at the Pueblo Magnet High School in
Tucson and around midday Tuesday at the Fernando Padilla Community Center in San
Luis.

Under the administration’s plan, illegal immigrants will be immune from
deportation if they were brought to the U.S. before they turned 16 and are
younger than 30, have been in the country for at least five continuous years,
have no criminal history, graduated from a U.S. high school or earned a GED or
served in the military.
