Main Street Minute: Gilbert hiring census workers, pizza chain expanding

• Gilbert is hiring census workers. You can apply for the gig Monday at a job fair from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the Southwest Regional Library near Greenfield and Guadalupe roads. The job pays $16.25 an hour plus mileage and paid training.
• Bring plenty of resumes and dress for success Monday at the Glendale Diversity Job Fair. It runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel Spa and Convention Center near Loop 101 and Maryland Avenue.
• A local pizza joint is expanding. Barro’s is scheduled to open its 36th location next month near 24th Street and Baseline Road. In November, the chain will open another store in Queen Creek.
