A Scottsdale trolley and an automobile collided late Thursday morning, sending three people, including a toddler, to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Scottsdale police and fire crews responded to the accident in the 7700 block of East Roosevelt Street.
The sedan, traveling westbound on Roosevelt Street, crossed the center line, hitting the front end of the eastbound trolley. There were no passengers on the trolley and the driver didn’t require medical attention.
Neither the driver of the car, an adult female, nor the male passenger were wearing seat belts. The 1-year-old was wearing a restraint in the back seat and sent to the hospital as a precaution.
Cause of the accident is under investigation.
