PHOENIX — Valley residents shouldn’t expect sweltering temperatures to
cool this week.
The Arizona Republic reported the National Weather
Service is advising people in metropolitan Phoenix to prepare for excessive heat
with a chance of storms on Saturday and Sunday.
The Weather Service said the high for Tuesday is expected to be 108 degrees.
Forecasters predict temperatures will hit 112 on Wednesday and 113 on Thursday.
Officials are urging residents to stay hydrated and indoors.
The Salvation Army will operate hydration stations around metro Phoenix that
will offer chilled, bottled water and heat-safety information.
