At around 6:00 p.m. Saturday night, the first barrage of severe weather warnings came flooding in, as rains and wind gusts reportedly reaching 60 mph battered the east Valley before the storms eventually moved north around 9:30 p.m.
Though relief from the storm eventually came, it would be quickly replaced by significant power outages for nearly 13,000 residents living in areas such as Mesa, Gilbert and Tempe, according to Salt River Project.
