GLENDALE, Ariz. — A church in Glendale has been vandalized after an
unknown attacker sprayed paint the words “Christians are liars” and “Smoke
meth” on its wall.
The Arizona
Republic reports that an employee at St. Raphael Parish noticed the
vandalism Thursday morning and contacted police.
Glendale police spokesman Tracy Breeden said the phrase “God is evil” also
was painted on the church.
Rev. Edward Kaminski, the church’s pastor for the eight years, called the act “a
hate crime.”
Breeden said once the criminal damage report is completed, detectives will
investigate and determine if it was a hate crime.
Church officials estimated the damage at about $1,000.
No arrests have been made.
