Quayle: Immigration change shows ‘deaf ear’ to Americans

Jun 15, 2012, 5:40 PM | Updated: 5:49 pm

The Obama administration has ignored the American people by enacting a new immigration policy, Rep. Ben Quayle told News/Talk 92.3 KTAR’s Karie and Chuck Show.

“This is the latest in the propaganda coming out of the Obama administration,” he said. “I think that [the policy change] shows a real deaf ear to what the American people want with immigration and border security.”

Quayle said that, rather than going around Congress to make immigration changes, Obama should be focusing on making the border more secure.

“The drug cartel violence is continuing to escalate,” he said. “I think that’s what we should be focusing on.”

Quayle also said that the policy change is not respectful to the balance of power in the U.S. government.
