Victim dies from burns after Phoenix explosion

PHOENIX – Authorities say a man who was severely burned in an explosion
and fire at a Phoenix trucking business has died.
Phoenix Fire Department officials say 50-year-old Robert Gene Boyle died
Friday.
Authorities say Boyle was an M&P Contracting employee who was welding when the
fire and explosion occurred about 7:20 p.m. Thursday.
They say Boyle was taken to a Phoenix hospital in extremely critical condition
with burns on 90 percent of his body.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the explosion at the
trucking business near 28th Avenue and Osborn Road.
