PHOENIX – A Litchfield Park man arrested in a sexual assault case last
month has pleaded not guilty.
Lee Charles Lubonne entered his plea Thursday in Maricopa County Superior
Court. His initial pre-trial conference is July 20.
The 44-year-old Lubonne was taken into custody May 20 and held without bond on
suspicion of sexual assault, kidnapping and sexual abuse.
County sheriff’s officials say a 33-year-old woman called 911 claiming Lubonne
kidnapped and sexually assaulted her in his home May 19.
The woman told authorities that she was contacted through the internet by
Lubonne, who was seeking her professional services as a photographer.
She claims she was drugged, forcibly undressed and sexually assaulted.
Deputies served a search warrant on Lubonne’s home and seized items including
online profiles of women from social networking websites.
