Toddler succumbs after fall into pool

A 3-year-old boy who was in critical condition after a near-drowning in Gold Canyon earlier this week, has died, said Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.
The toddler died early Wednesday morning at Cardon Children’s Medical Center in Mesa.
He had been outside alone when he fell into a pool Monday. By the time his father pulled him out and performed CPR the boy was blue.
He was taken to Arizona Regional Hospital immediately. A faint pulse was registered, and he later was transferred to Cardon.
