LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. — A car hit two brothers who were fighting in the
middle of a street in the western Phoenix suburb of Litchfield Park, critically
injuring them both.
Maricopa County sheriff’s Officer Chris Hegstrom says that the car hit the
brothers around 12:45 a.m. Sunday as they fought in the street.
He says they were taken to the hospital in critical condition. He did not say
whether they are expected to survive.
The brothers, whose names were not released, are in their early 20s.
Hegstrom says the female driver of the car was not injured.
He says it was very dark in the area at the time of the crash and that both
brothers were wearing dark clothing.
The accident remains under investigation.
