Mmm: Phoenix Cooks! fundraiser to fire up good eats Labor Day weekend

PHOENIX — Some of the best chefs in the Valley will show off their talents at the popular Phoenix Cooks! fundraiser during Labor Day weekend.
The 11th culinary fest will be held Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Scottsdale’s Westin Kierland Resort.
Participating restaurants include North, Paul Martin’s American Grill, Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn, Firebirds, EVO and Seasons 52.
The Scottsdale Independent reported the Saturday event will feature a college football tailgating zone, classes led by local chefs, a cooking contest, and tastings.
Tickets are $85 in advance and $100 at the door. Tickets for designated drivers are $60.
This year’s raffle will benefit Banner Children’s.
