Feds seize 241 pounds of marijuana in Yuma area

YUMA, Ariz. – Federal authorities say they have seized more than 240
pounds of abandoned marijuana in the Yuma area.
U.S. Border Patrol agents from Yuma Sector’s Wellton Station seized 241 pounds
of marijuana Thursday while tracking a group of suspects.
The agents, assigned to Camp Grip, found five unattended burlap backpacks
filled with marijuana.
They say the narcotics are valued at nearly $121,000.
Agents are continuing to pursue the group but so far have not had any contact
with them.
