PHOENIX — Phoenix chef Beau MacMillan’s cooking creativity paid off in a big way for a local charity.
MacMillan, executive chef at Elements restaurant at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, raised $16,000 for St. Mary’s food bank on cable TV’s “Guy’s Grocery Games” on Sunday.
MacMillan beat three other celebrity chefs to earn the chance to run around Food Network star Guy Fieri’s grocery set for his chosen charity.
Proud and honored to be involved with @GuyFieri on GGG !! From the cast and crew @FoodNetwork no one does it better !

The show pits four chefs against each other in themed challenges designed to test their skills. A panel of judges whittle down the competitors.
“We were all cheering ‘BeauMac’ on Sunday night. He was fantastic,” Food Bank President Beverly Damone said in a statement.
St. Mary’s said MacMillan’s win amounted to 112,000 meals for Valley families in need.
MacMillan was no stranger to the show — he’d been a judge on other episodes.
