Main Street Minute: Pei Wei to open on ASU main campus

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• Deco Communities of Scottsdale is putting up $200 million in developments in the Valley. One project is Edison Midtown near Central Avenue and Osborn Road. The five stories will house 110 units ranging from 800 to 1,600 square feet, with pricing starting around $250,000. Deco is also putting up two swanky condo projects in Scottsdale.
• A popular Chinese restaurant chain is going to college. Pei Wei will open at Arizona State University’s Memorial Union in Tempe next week. This is the first Pei Wei to open on a college campus. The Scottsdale-based chain will also offer a $1,500 scholarship to undergraduate students every year.
• Two job fairs Friday: Nonprofit Chandler Gilbert Arc is looking for direct support professionals and assistant managers and is hosting a job fair to find the right candidates. The event runs from noon until 6 p.m. near Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road. Also, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess has more than 200 full- and part-time positions up for grabs. The resort near Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard is interviewing from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
