In the fight for cancer, you need as many people in your corner as possible.
While the support of family, friends and medical professionals can be comforting, it’s always good to talk to someone who’s been there, who survived cancer.
When Holly Rose was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, she was amazed at the overwhelming support she received. After she recovered, Rose decided to start the Live and Give Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping people fight breast cancer.
In addition to offering those diagnosed with support, the nonprofit also provides free wigs to women undergoing chemotherapy. Last year, 140 women were given a custom wig.
The foundation accepts donations online.
