Mike O’Neil was interviewed for “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” this week.
The show will run sometime during Stewart’s last week on the show Aug 3-6.
For the first half of this week’s show, we take a look behind that curtain and discuss some of the things the audience never gets to see.
It was an interesting experience — a large crowd of camera people, lighting techs, a producer and interviewer/comedian Al Madrigal.
These guys are serious! For what I assume will be a clip of a minute or two, they did a FOUR-HOUR interview. I figure I was erudite and thoughtful for about 3 hours and 58 minutes. I have a pretty good idea which 2 minutes will air.
And then there’s Donald Trump.
Especially if you are a Democrat, the Donald is the gift that keeps on giving. He is now a clear FIRST in Republican primary polls.
Is his candidacy for real? Regardless, it certainly does have the character of a freeway automobile accident: we may think it is an awful wreck, but we somehow just can’t take our eyes off of it.
The Think Tank. 5-6 p.m. Sunday, re-run at 9-10 p.m.
