Robbie Knievel pleads guilty in drunken driving case

Jul 24, 2015, 8:18 AM

BUTTE, Mont. (AP) — Robbie Knievel has pleaded guilty to a drunken driving charge in Montana and has received a seven-day sentence.

The Montana Standard reports (http://bit.ly/1Mp6sJz) the youngest son of daredevil Evel Knievel on Thursday agreed to pay a $685 fine and enroll in an alcohol treatment program while pleading guilty to the misdemeanor charge.

Knievel was arrested in Butte in April for running a red light and causing a four-car pileup.

Knievel had planned a sobriety jump as part of a festival named for his dad, but the stunt was grounded because he had his license suspended by the April arrest.

Knievel still faces a criminal endangerment charge in Butte court.
