PHOENIX — A once-popular Phoenix-area restaurant chain has filed for bankruptcy.
Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill filed for Chapter 11 this week, according to PE Hub, a private equity-related news service.
The Texas-based chain, which has five Arizona locations in Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler and Phoenix, also runs the Phoenix gastropub Taco Guild.
The news site reported that a potential buyer had already been identified — Cornbread Ventures LP — and that the sale hearing was scheduled for Sept. 25.
