SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — An Arizona man has drowned after swimming with a group of friends and family at Sand Hollow State Park.
The 26-year-old man was in the northwest part of the reservoir when he disappeared Wednesday. Members of the group found the man about 10 feet below the surface and took him to a boat ramp. They tried to perform CPR on him but were unsuccessful.
Hurricane Fire Department and ambulance arrived, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating how the man may have drowned. His name has not yet been released.
