PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The latest on newly obtained deposition testimony from Bill Cosby (all times local):
4:30 p.m.
Bill Cosby’s decade-old testimony about his philandering could be used against him in court by some of the women who accuse him of sexual assault.
A lawyer in the one current civil case that accuses the comedian of drugging, then sexually assaulting women says a newly public transcript of Cosby’s 2005 and 2006 deposition is a “treasure trove of admissions” that could be used in court.
In the deposition, Cosby talks about decades of affairs with women and giving women quaaludes for the purpose of having sex with them.
A lawyer not connected to the case tells The Associated Press that for Cosby to avoid having his statements brought into court in future cases, he would have to “navigate a virtual minefield.”
Dozens of women have accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them over four decades. Cosby has denied committing any crimes.

A lawyer for three women suing Bill Cosby for defamation says the release of decade-old testimony destroys Cosby as a public moralist.
The Associated Press and other media outlets have obtained the comedian’s 2005 and 2006 testimony in recent days. The material remains under a court seal.
In the deposition, Cosby talks about decades of affairs with women and giving women quaaludes for the purpose of having sex with them.
He said in the question-and-answer session that he gave the drug to Therese Serignese in the 1970s. She is now suing Cosby for defamation.
Her lawyer, Joseph Cammarata, calls the documents a “treasure trove of admissions by Mr. Cosby.”
