Rockefeller office park in Chandler enters final planning stage

Jul 22, 2015, 5:30 AM | Updated: 5:30 am

The Rockefeller Group will break ground on a Chandler office park located at the 101 and Chandler Boulevard in the first quarter of 2016, reports the Phoenix Business Journal.

The 250,000 square foot complex, which was approved six years ago, will open on the southeast corner of the intersection and is in the final design phases.

At an expected cost of $250 million, the six- to eight-story complex will house offices and retail space. It could potentially add lodging and residential structures in the future.

The project was spurred forward now that construction on a road connecting northboard Price Road and eastbound Chandler Boulevard is completed — it was a critical component to alleviate traffic congestion.

The recession and the relocation of power lines also delayed the project from breaking ground.

Mark Singerman, vice president and regional director of the Arizona office for Rockefeller, told the Phoenix Business Journal he doesn’t expect the campus to take business from Chandler Fashion Center, which lies on the southwest corner of the intersection.

Visit Rockefeller Group’s website for design photos of the site.
