HELENA, Mont. (AP) — The three victims of a head-on crash in west-central Montana were siblings.
Lewis and Clark County Coroner Mickey Nelson says the crash Wednesday morning killed 29-year-old Duchena Tasha Martin and 17-year-old Isaiah Martin, both from Montezuma Creek, Utah, and 28-year-old Shauana Tara Martin from Red Mesa, Arizona.
The siblings were riding in a white truck when it crashed head-on with a silver truck hauling hay bales on U.S. Highway 287 north of Wolf Creek.
Three other passengers in the white truck were injured, including a 12-year-old boy from Arizona, who has been released from the hospital. The others were a 31-year-old man from Arizona and a 29-year-old man from Louisville, Kentucky.
A 69-year-old Helena man and a 66-year-old East Helena man in the silver truck were injured.
The crash is still under investigation.
