RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A former Henrico County youth coach has pleaded guilty to participating in a child exploitation enterprise.
Noland Anthony Harper entered the plea Thursday in federal court in Richmond. He faces 20 years to life in prison when he is sentenced Oct. 9.
According to authorities, Harper conspired with three men from California and Arizona to sexually abuse boys, photograph the abuse and distribute the photos over the Internet. Harper traveled to California, where he took the boys to Disneyland and the beach and bought them gifts to induce them to pose for sexually explicit photos.
According to a Henrico detective’s affidavit, Harper told police he was sexually attracted to young boys, and he missed the physical company of children after he stopped coaching youth sports about 10 years ago.
