PHOENIX — Jodi Arias may be sentenced to life in prison and the memory of her trial is still fresh in everyone’s mind, but maybe no more so than a Philadelphia rapper.
The rapper, who goes by the name of Lefty, just released a song defending Arias. He claims she never received a fair trial because of the media hype surrounding it.
Think he isn’t a credible source? Lefty claims he attended the trial at every chance he got and even blogged about it on his website.
Arias was sentenced to life in prison in April for murdering her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in Mesa, Arizona.
Lefty is selling the song, titled “Jodi Ann Arias,” on iTunes for 99 cents, but 34 cents of it goes toward Arias’ appeal fund.
The song has already been streamed about 141,000 times through a free streaming service.
