FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — For some people, having a big imagination can be a tough thing to deal with.

For artist Sky Black, it was the impetus behind an ambitious mural that is being created on the east wall of the The Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff.

Titled “The Sound of Flight, Black describes the current status of mural as illustrating a piano with endless numbers of birds flying forth from it. Once completed, the soon-to-be 4,500-square foot mural will be largest mural in Arizona, according to Black.

“It’s my ode to Flagstaff,” Black told KAFF News. “This is where I’m from and it’s where my art career got started.”

We want to hear from you.
