PHOENIX — Arizona State University is starting a program that gives Arizona-based entrepreneurs access to research and other resources.
The Startup Mill, run jointly by ASU’s Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Arizona Technology Enterprises, will help out local entrepreneurs by exposing them to the same services available to ASU students, faculty and post-doctoral researchers.
The program will offer services such as acceleration and venture support, interim or permanent C-level management and an abundance of university resources.
The university has helped out start-ups in the past. More than 75 companies have been launched because of ASU innovations, attracting more than $500 million in funding from capital firms and other investors.
Startup Mill began accepting start-ups in late spring and will continue to be accepted on an ongoing basis.
