PHOENIX — At age 11, you were probably worried about playing with friends, learning cursive and talking about what you wanted to be when you grew up.
Not Ria Cheruvu. The 11-year-old Gilbert, Ariz. resident received her high school diploma Thursday and is readying herself for college life.
Cheruvu, a math prodigy, was selected class valedictorian at Arizona Connections Academy and finished with a 4.3 GPA. While originally planning to take a break, she’ll begin online courses through the Harvard Extension School in the fall.
She plans to study neural cryptography, which sounds really complicated.
Cheruvu may have plenty to brag about, but said she only wants to make a difference in the world.
