BLANDING, Utah (AP) — Police say an Arizona man was killed in Utah after swerving to avoid a cow and rolling his vehicle.
KSL-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1Q3mffE ) that Utah Highway Patrol says 63-year-old Andrew Askland crashed his Ford Ranger near Blanding in San Juan County on Friday morning.
Police say he swerved to avoid a cow in the road, clipping the cow and running his vehicle off the freeway. When he attempted to correct that, the vehicle rolled.
Police say Askland, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected and died from his injuries.
No other cars were involved in the accident.
