TEMPE — Former Arizona State standout Pat Tillman is praised for his military service and sacrifice for our country.
A memorial wall is being placed on ASU’s campus to honor Tillman and the other 127 men and one female Sun Devil who joined the Armed Forces and sacrificed their lives for our country.
“We will include on the memorial all 129 names, including individuals from all of the conflicts since ASU was founded in 1885,” said a spokesperson for the ASU Alumni Association Veterans Chapter.
The ASU Memorial for the Fallen will be located near the Pat Tillman Center in the Memorial Union on ASU’s Tempe Campus.
According to the Veterans Chapter, the memorial wall is being designed to be a long-lasting reminder to the ASU community of fallen military personnel who have walked the halls of ASU before them.
ASU hopes to have the memorial ready by spring 2016.
